
How We Can Help: An Overview
The Campus Ombudsman's Office has been serving the campus community since 1983. We listen to your concerns and work with you to:
- Solve problems: identify options and inda path forward through institutional difficulties
- Manage difficult conversations: coaching in skillful communication
- Clarify policies and procedures: understand them and determine if they were fairly applied
- Provide refferals to appropriate service providers
- Devvelop leadership skills needed to build high functioning organizations
- Create strategic and community engagement plans with traction
- Design and facilitate more productive meetings
- Make recommendations for systemic change
A few comments from visitors to the Ombudsman's Office:

Your questions and concerns are kept confidential. Likewise, we request that conversations with the Campus Ombuds remain confidential unless you feel it would be important to share what was discussed - in which case, please consult first with the Ombuds. No one needs to know that you visited the Ombuds unless you want them to know. It is generally accepted campus practice that visiting the Ombuds' Office during working hours is permitted.
