Personal and Public Safety

The UCSC Police Department provides emergency response, criminal investigation, and safety-related training and information to the campus community.

  • For emergency assistance, call 911

  • To report a crime in progress, call 911

  • Criminal activity may also be reported by calling the UCSC Police Department (831.259.2231), visiting the station, or completing an online report

  • The Police Department’s Anonymous tip line is 831.459.3847

The Slug Support Team encourages contact from students concerned about their well-being or ability to cope

  • The Slug Support Team can be reached by phone at 831.459.4446; or by email at deanofstudents@ucsc.edu

  • Students may contact the Slug Support Team or make referrals on their own behalf, or to discuss concerns about the safety and well-being of another student.
